Geoffrey Brooks M.B., Ch.B. Warkworth Village Choir is privileged to have Geoffrey Brooks as their Accompanist. After serving a distinguished career in medicine, commencing with National Service in the Army Medical Corps, he then moved on to many other positions in his medical career. Geoff’s love of music was revealed early in life when, at the age of 14 years, he achieved Grade 8 in piano. In the early 50’s he played with Sir Harrison Birtwistle, composer and clarinettist, for two years. He also toured the North West with John Heddle Nash, well-known baritone, in the early 70’s. Geoff has proved himself to be a very accomplished musician and, as well as playing piano, he can often be seen playing the organ in Warkworth United Reformed Church. |
